BOLDMAC Ltd. (“BOLDMAC”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

Our commitment to you

Any personal, career, employment or contact information you provide through this website is collected and used only for legitimate BOLDMAC business purposes, such as responding to your enquiry or considering your application. It is handled securely and confidentially and will not be shared, sold or disclosed to any third party outside the company, except where required by law.

Information we collect

• Contact form: your name, company, email address, phone number, the subject you choose and your message.
• Careers form: your name, email address, phone number, the role you are interested in, your message and your resume.
• Technical information: our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time of request) used to keep the site secure and available. We use no advertising trackers.
• Language preference: when you choose EN or FR, a small cookie remembers your choice for one year. It contains only “en” or “fr”.

Why we collect it

• To respond to your enquiry and provide the services you ask about.
• To consider your application for employment or a secondment.
• To protect the website against abuse (rate limiting and automated-submission checks).
• To show the site in the language you chose.

We collect this information with your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box before submitting a form. We do not sell personal information.

How we protect it

Form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS and delivered to a BOLDMAC mailbox. Resumes are not stored on the web server. Access to submissions is limited to the people who need it to respond to you or assess your application.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. Resumes are kept for up to 12 months so that we can consider you for future openings, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Third parties

We use service providers to host the website, deliver email and, where enabled, verify that form submissions come from people rather than automated scripts. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations. Some providers may process data outside Canada.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, by contacting us at +1 403 473 1359 or writing to 324 8 Ave SW, 12th Floor, Calgary, Alberta T2P 2Z2, Canada. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.

Cookies and similar technologies

Strictly necessary: the only cookie this website sets itself is the language preference described above. Browsing, reading or submitting a form needs no other cookie. Form protection works without cookies.

Analytics (optional, off by default): if website analytics are enabled, a banner asks for your permission before any analytics cookie is set. If you decline or ignore the banner, nothing is loaded. If you accept, your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage (not a cookie, never sent to us) and you can change it at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, which also removes analytics cookies already set. IP addresses are anonymised. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.

Embedded video: the company video is hosted on Vimeo and is loaded only when you press play. The player is loaded with the “do not track” setting, so Vimeo does not set tracking cookies through this site. Vimeo's own privacy policy applies to the player once it is running.

Fonts and images are served from this website itself; no third-party font or image service is contacted.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
